Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £65K - £70K + Car Allowance
The Role:
1. Responsible for all Mechanical aspects of projects.
2. Conduct site surveys for potential M&E projects, including layout design, quotation, and client liaison.
3. Oversee day-to-day project delivery, ensuring adherence to client requirements, safety, quality, and supplier performance.
4. Supervise and direct overall project activities, including planning, coordinating, and resolving issues.
5. Manage project cost procurement, analysis, appraisal, and budgeting.
6. Produce and submit application for payment and invoice documents as required.
7. Ensure programmes are agreed upon with clients and contractors before project commencement, updated as needed, and key deadlines are met.
8. Ensure M&E services are installed correctly and to the correct specifications.
9. Conduct regular audits of staff performance and work quality.
10. Provide timely and accurate periodic reports to the Head of Mechanical Services on project progress, problems, and solutions.
11. Monitor working practices, manage contractors, and report non-compliance.
12. Investigate accidents, incidents, and quality failures, taking corrective action when appropriate.
13. Identify risks to project budget, supplier performance, and overhead costs, taking early action to mitigate these risks.
14. Maintain operational relationships with suppliers, ensuring adherence to company standards.
15. Carry out audits to ensure high standards of service and workmanship.
16. Undertake additional ad hoc duties as directed by the line manager in line with business needs.

The Ideal Candidate:
1. Proven experience delivering commercial M&E projects worth over £4 Million.
2. Will hold a full driving licence (must have less than 6 points).
3. Will be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
4. Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
5. Will have excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to act as the primary point of contact for clients.
7. Holds a valid SMSTS / CSCS Black card.
