Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stock Controller to join our team at Barnstaple. The Role To provide a timely, friendly, and dependable collection and delivery service of products to customers ensuring that their expectations are not just met but exceeded. To maintain high levels of inventory availability and optimize the economics of stockholding and handling costs. To improve profitability through load building, Economic Order Quantities & challenging minimum order values. Manage the process of raising purchase orders, at the correct price, in a cohesive team alongside branches, Category Managers & Stock targets. To configure the Kerridge system to automate as much purchasing as is possible, ensuring sales forecast mechanisms, MIN/MAX, Lead time, b ooking in time and other drivers of good inventory practice are in place and well maintained. Raise manual orders where automation is not practical. Maximize use of range profiles and minimize the use of special codes, non-preferred suppliers by close collaboration with sales, operations, category and product file teams. The identification, efficient redistribution, return to supplier or assisted sell through of old, slow moving or excess stock. The Requirements Provide appropriate products and solutions. Raise health and safety issues or concerns. Develop effective relationships with colleague to create a teamwork environment. Communicate all relevant key information across the business as appropriate. Ensure that all colleagues are treated with dignity and respect at all times. A clean presentable appearance and courteous manner as an ambassador for the company.
