About the Business:
The Addington Supportive Housing hostel has been providing housing for Men only for 125+ years in Christchurch. It is a 24 hour staffed site focused upon the needs of Men with Addiction, Mental health and Corrections histories who are in need of housing.
We also provide additional community housing for an additional 45 households who are mainly for whanau and individuals who are in homes spread across the city.
The team of about 50 staff is made up of Social Workers, Counsellors, Addiction staff, Support workers, OT, Clinical Management, Office team and Property staff.
About the Role:
This Registered Nurse role helps to provide direct physical and mental health care for those living in the hostel service alongside our Enrolled Nurse and in conjunction with a Nurse Practitioner. There is an opportunity to work also alongside our Christchurch Bridge based Nursing team in a collaborative manner to provide greater overall Nursing care across both adjoining sites.
This is a Monday to Friday role with no shift work, with days and hours of work to be negotiated.
What will your responsibilities be:
* To provide direct Physical and Mental Health care to the men in the hostel
* To support medication oversight to the site
* To work alongside Caseworkers and other key staff regarding addressing health needs
* Have a holistic view of health needs to the site
* Work alongside the clinical leadership in addressing shortfalls in the health needs
* Oversee infection control measures and auditing processes
* Liaise daily with Pharmacy and Primary Health teams
Our ideal candidate will:
* Must be a NZ Degree qualified full Registered Nurse (or approved equivalent).
* Have at least 3 years' experience post training, in Mental Health, Addictions, Corrections or similar
* Be experienced in working with Men's health needs
* Be able to work alongside a 24 hour residential team

The starting salary for this role will fall between $80k and $91K depending upon experience.
The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $38.93 and $43.62.
