To reinforce our Commercial team, we are looking for a Key Account Manager.
Scope of the Job
The initial purpose of this KAM role will primarily be administrative-focused, liaising with internal stakeholders such as production plants, supply chain, and product managers to ensure the successful management of all projects from start to finish.
Working with the IKAM to manage relationships with the customer, with a long-term goal of working more independently and managing the UK relationship on behalf of the IKAM.
Mission and Key Tasks
1. Support the IKAM in the day-to-day management of the UK account, ensuring they are fully aware of the status of the UK account.
2. Help prepare for customer meetings and support on international administrative tasks as needed.
3. Attend weekly internal and external meetings with customers, taking responsibility for creating contact reports/actions lists and working with the wider team to ensure tasks are fulfilled in a timely manner.
4. Support the IKAM to drive sales and profit through the account by reviewing sales performance data as well as margin analysis.
5. Assist and create calculations for price setting through a Profit Run pricing calculation system as requested by the IKAM.
6. Work closely with the sales coordinator to ensure secure supply of stocks.
7. Gather market information and analysis as needed.
8. Complete order confirmation documents for new product setup.
9. Review logistics and approval to ensure they meet customer requirements.
10. Support the IKAM in managing and controlling A&P investments and ensure that Ontex gets value for money for all promotional support given to the customer. Ensure that A&P expenditure is reported monthly to the IKAM to keep it within the agreed levels and assist in managing any price/order queries.
11. Become an acknowledged expert in Ontex products, categories, and customers.
12. Eventually act as the go-to person for all information and data on the customer, both from internal and external inquiries.
Background and Experience
EDUCATIONAL:
1. Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Economics or Business Administration).
2. Master's degree in Sales or Sales and Marketing will be valuable.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum of 2-4 years in FMCG Sales Account Management.
2. Experience in hygienic disposables markets would be an advantage.
3. Experience in the private label market would be an advantage.

3. Analytical ability – PC literate and able to crunch numbers, skilled in Microsoft Office tools in general and Excel specifically.

6. People skills – critical this person can be fully accepted, trusted, and “bought into” – needs to be liked and become “one of the team.”
7. A sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a small but dynamic and dedicated team is essential.
8. Confidence and desire to lead the team.
9. Influencing skills – will need to manage people and get ‘buy-in’ from others without having direct authority.

11. Creative.
12. High level of business acumen & commercially aware of the decisions taken as well as their impact on both customer and Ontex’ business.
13. Ability to understand the Business Strategy and look at the “bigger picture,” as well as being able to create and implement winning action plans. Must also be able to understand and communicate the needs and constraints that customers may have that may act as possible roadblocks to these plans.
14. Accuracy and getting it right the first time are absolutely essential.
15. Keep in touch with all market trends regarding price and product to keep customers abreast of the latest developments.
