Lead Ecologist/Senior Ecologist – Hybrid working £30,000-£55,000 (DOE) Benefits including additional training, company bonus and vehicle access. Established a decade ago, our client specialises in projects across South-East England, delivering expert ecological solutions. To continue delivering key projects in the region they are looking for an experienced Lead Ecologist/ Senior Ecologist with strong project management skills, including confidence in client liaison, quote and tender production, and budget management. Key duties for the Lead Ecologist / Senior Ecologist will include: Overseeing regional ecological projects from inception to completion. Organising and conducting ecological surveys, with 1-2 days on-site and 2 days remote working. Producing reports on protected species licences, legislation, planning policy, ecological conditions, and site recommendations. Managing ecological projects, planning processes, and leading teams (once established). Developing bio-diversity plans and sustainable development projects. Working towards chartered status to advance in the ecology field. To apply the Lead Ecologist / Senior Ecologist will require the following background: Hold a Degree, and/or Masters in an ecology related discipline. Have a track record working projects from inception through to completion acting as a mentor to junior staff. Be confident liaising with clients face to face offering expert guidance. Be chartered or be keen to work towards this level.
