The Role
The Senior Business Manager will play a key role in the CEO Office team in managing the day-to-day operations of CEO Office. The role holder will be an expert in stakeholder management and a ‘go to’ person and barometer for the CEO, CEO Office and colleagues in the wider Bank. The Senior Business Manager will have adept judgement skills which they will use independently, to prioritise and solve complex issues / enquiries on behalf of the CEO.
The Senior Business Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering communications, correspondence and papers to support the CEO and leading internal / external engagement planning for the CEO. To be successful in this role, the Senior Business Manager must be adaptable and hands-on, with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks. This includes performing administrative duties such as responding to emails, managing the CEO’s diary, and handling delegated approvals. You will thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and be able to approach challenges with flexibility.
The Senior Business Manager will act as a coach and mentor, playing a key role in ensuring the function is high performing, and will champion continuous improvement within processes in the CEO Office.
1. To be considered for this role you will possess exceptional and adaptable communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in preparing and delivering presentations, reports, and executive communications.
2. You will be an expert user knowledge of Microsoft suite of software and have exceptional organisational skills and capacity to think well ahead of business needs.
3. You will be able to demonstrate strong initiative and judgement skills with an outcomes-based capability of identifying problems and driving solutions as well as strong negotiating and influencing skills.
4. You will have experience of working in the financial sector and/or government/public sector along with experience of working with Ministers and C-Suite Executives.
5. You will have a proven track record of identifying and delivering process improvements in the course of BAU and be able to demonstrate the ability to work across all levels of stakeholders and build relationships.
6. You will also have project or programme management experience.
