Part Time – 24 hours per week
Working pattern – (Ideally working across four days including a Friday)
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team here at Solihull Council.
As HR Advisor, you will provide a comprehensive HR Service to a range of customers including internal / external stakeholders, partners, ensuring the service is focused on delivering innovative business solutions. You will also liaise with Trade Unions as required in wider employment consultations and negotiations.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing professional advice, guidance and practical expertise to line managers on a wide range of policy related issues including performance management, capability, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, absence and health related issues.
* Supporting line managers through the implementation of management of change / TUPE initiatives.
* Supporting line managers with employee relations issues up to and including gross misconduct.
* Designing and delivering training and briefings to line managers and partner organisations on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
* Developing and maintaining policy and ensuring documentation is up to date with legislative requirements.
You will have:
* A CIPD qualification
* Generalist HR experience in an operational / consultancy HR service within a complex organisation / multi disciplinary team.
* Experience of advising and guiding managers on a varied employee relations caseload and resourcing issues.
* Experience of facilitating organisational change including advising and supporting managers on restructuring.
* A strong focus on customer service, with the ability to engage and build positive professional relationships.
