A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for a number of contract positions in Rolls-Royce. We are looking for a number of Chemical Process Operators to join Rolls-Royce on a 12-month contract in Solihull. Shifts will be either double days (rotating mornings and afternoons) or a permanent night shift. As a Chemical Process Operators, you will be: Using manual electroplating techniques such as Lead Indium and nickel to electroplate bearings Operating manual electroplating and or anodising lines, jigging components, cleaning parts and measuring coating thicknesses. Inputting data into chart recorders Coating of high integrity components of varying sizes to tight engineering tolerances. Using manual grit blasting equipment to prepare parts for coating Making chemical additions to process tanks and completing TPM. Working within a Team to effectively resolve production and quality issues. Interpretating manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications. Possessing the flexibility to undertake other tasks/activities when required. Displaying a willingness to learn new skills and processes, undertaking training where necessary. Experienced in NADCAP or Aerospace accreditations desirable Display awareness of HS&E requirements. Who we are looking for: Essential: Experience in a chemical processing or coating of precision components environment Understand and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Capable of managing time/resource effectively. A flexible-working attitude to taking on other tasks/activities when required. Good communication skills. Desirable: Experience of working in Electroplating or Anodising Experience of working in the coatings industry, and or Aerospace or Automotive industry standards. Experience of working to technical work instructions. 5s and visual management. Experience of working with chemicals.
