What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are Government funded, work-based training programmes for recruiting full-time people ages 16+ (there is no upper age limit) and providing them with the opportunity to combine ‘on the job' training with a nationally recognized qualification.
The apprenticeships programme, funded through the Welsh Government, supports training costs. The employer works with an approved training provider that carries out most of the training, for Safran Seats this is Newport and District Group Training Association (NDGTA).
The Quality apprenticeships in operation at Safran Seats GB:
• Advanced level apprenticeships that offer a work-based learning programme leading to a BTEC and NVQ level 3.
The purpose of this role is to assure the quality of products throughout the product lifecycle with Safran Seats GB. The post holder will support the product lifecycle quality assurance, through the complete manufacturing process, and take responsibility for ensuring that processes and procedures are in place and adhered to in relation to product quality.
Complementary Description
What will I be doing as an Apprentice?
Depending on the level you come into your apprenticeship at will determine your starting point. If you start on a BTEC L3, your first year will be full-time at college from September until July and then you will work onsite and attend college 1 day/week during term time to complete your academic qualification.
During your working time onsite, you will work in specific departments in rotation to learn. The departments you will work in are linked to the discipline you have chosen to study.
Each rotation is linked with the assessment criteria for your qualification.
