What you will do: Conduct statutory assessments of children and families following the Children Act 1989 and 2004 Manage diverse caseloads encompassing child protection, children in need, and looked-after children Create and execute child-focused care plans that ensure safety, stability, and wellbeing Carry out home visits and meticulously maintain records using the council's case management system Prepare comprehensive reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, and looked-after reviews Collaborate with multi-agency teams including education, health, and police services Participate and contribute in strategy meetings, reviews, and court hearings as required Consistently safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with statutory guidance Requirements: Valid Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma in Social Work, or equivalent) Registration with Social Work England Proven experience in a statutory setting working with children and families Solid understanding of safeguarding legislation, specifically Working Together to Safeguard Children Current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain) Strong verbal, written communication skills Capability to work independently while managing a complex caseload Join a team where dedicated professionals come together to innovate and care.
