Responsibilities:
* Provideoneonone and small group support to children with SEMH needshelping them to engage with classroom activities and improve theirsocial and emotional skills.
* Workcollaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to implementtailored behaviour management strategies that promote positivelearning behaviours.
* Support children withemotional regulation techniques helping them to manage challengingbehaviour and improve their focus duringlessons.
* Assist with the implementation ofindividual learning plans ensuring students have the resources andsupport needed to succeed academically.
* Buildpositive relationships with students offering a safe andencouraging space for them to express their emotions and gainconfidence in their abilities.
* Monitor progressand provide regular feedback to teachers and the SEN team onstudents emotional behavioural and academicdevelopment.
ExperienceandQualifications:
* Previousexperience working with children who have SEMH needs isbeneficial.
* A good understanding of behaviourmanagement strategies and emotional regulationtechniques.
* Strong communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport withstudents and staff.
* Patience empathy andresilience with a commitment to helping children overcomechallenges.
* A clear DBScheck.
* Legal right to work in theUK.
