Description About the role We’re looking for a passionate, place-based leader to take a hands-on role in managing our neighbourhoods and supporting tenants across Cornwall. As a Neighbourhood Housing Manager, you’ll lead a team of Neighbourhood Housing Officers within a geographic patch, helping to deliver high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood services that are focused on sustaining tenancies, resolving housing issues, and creating safe, thriving communities. Working closely with your Regional Housing Manager and local partners, you’ll be the person who connects people and services, championing tenant voices and making sure our homes and neighbourhoods reflect what matters most to residents. Whether you’re responding to safety concerns, tackling anti-social behaviour, or supporting new tenants to settle in, this role is all about building relationships and working collaboratively to provide decent homes and support strong, resilient communities. Our North-East area covers from central towns of Bodmin to the seaside at Bude, from Launceston and over to picturesque Padstow, Camelford and Wadebridge. Our West area covers homes from Truro and picturesque Falmouth, and over through rural villages to the beautiful coastline around Perranporth and St Agnes. About you To be successful, you’ll be/have: Proven experience of leading, motivating and coaching teams to deliver high quality customer-facing services. Evidence of applying technical skills; either landlord and tenant law, housing legislation, anti-social behaviour or equivalent in a similar service, with the ability to solve a problem and find creative solutions to complex issues. A willingness to be a visible leader and positive role model, showing resilience and remaining calm under pressure to make good decisions, juggling changing priorities on a daily basis. Experience of partnership working with internal and external agencies, of obtaining successful outcomes from multi-agency meetings. Ability to manage escalations and complaints in housing or similar service environment, turning difficult conversations around to build positive and trusted customer relationships.
