Client:
Our client is a leading contractor that specialises in the fitout sector. The business have been operating for decades and specialise in creating bespoke interiors within the entertainment, luxury hospitality and prime residential sectors.
Due to continued growth, the business have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.
Overview:
The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in the commercial management of various diverse and high end fitout projects, working alongside the Senior QS and Project Manager in a client facing role.
Minimal Travel Requirements:
The Quantity Surveyor will only be required to travel 1 or 2 days per month (all travel costs of course paid for).
Responsibilities Include:
16. Preparation and submission of valuations
17. Collating variation quotations
18. Procurement and management of sub-contractor accounts
19. Collating and administering subcontractor documents
20. Review of main contract documents & provide contractual advice to the project team
21. Preparation of Monthly CVR/Cost Reports and final accounts
22. Value engineering & risk management control
The Ideal Person:
23. Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
24. Experience working on fit out and / or refurbishment projects is ideal
25. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
26. Commercially astute
27. Strong IT skills
28. Articulate, critical thinker and problem solver with strong technical ability
29. Good communication skills and able to collaborate effectively within a team environment
