Creative Expression and Personal Growth
In this role, you will have the opportunity to empower prisoners to develop their creative skills and build confidence through hands-on activities such as upcycling, arts & crafts, weaving, sewing, and dyeing.
You will work closely with a team of learners to create a safe and supportive workshop environment, promoting inclusivity and respect for all participants.
Responsibilities:
1. Induction and Training: Introduce new learners to the workshop, providing comprehensive training in Health & Safety, stock control, and tool and machinery usage.
2. Learning Experience Design: Assess and adapt training to meet each individual's needs, ensuring an accessible and encouraging learning environment.
3. Quality Control and Production: Set work schedules, maintain quality standards, and support learners in achieving production goals.
Essential Requirements:
* Background: Experience within a custodial or rehabilitative setting is a plus.
* Skills: Strong organisational skills and familiarity with Health & Safety practices.
* Personal Qualities: Compassion and resilience to foster a rehabilitative work environment.
