The job is for a qualified chef to work as a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The role involves delivering hotel/restaurant standards of food service without the long hours and split shifts, and working with residents to create nutritious and flavorsome menus.
Main duties of the job
The Bank Chef will assist the Head Chef in creating and delivering high-quality, nutritious, and well-balanced menus for residents, while also managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. The chef will work with fresh, seasonal produce to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home, and will be responsible for tasks such as stock control, budgeting, and leading and motivating a team.
Job responsibilities

NEED TO HAVE

* Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.

* A good understanding of nutrition.
* Experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
* The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
* Good understanding of HACCP.

Qualifications
* The successful candidate must hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, have experience in helping lead and inspire a team, a good understanding of nutrition and working with fresh seasonal food, and a good understanding of HACCP.
