We are looking for someone to join us as a Systems & Operations Analyst, on a 12-month Fixed Term contract, based in Hitchin and able to work in the office for a minimum of 3 days out of 5 per week.
You will be responsible for the supporting, running and maintaining our existing Office 365 Visual Basic Application (VBA) tools.
To be responsible for the Verint (work management system) daily download run at the start of each day, this is business critical and required to start by 8am.
Supporting the delivery of the key objectives of the business by monitoring and analysing operational and change activities. Identifying opportunities and making recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
You will lead on and drive the delivery of potential process improvements including investigation, cost benefit analysis and suitability.
Recognise opportunities to implement a consistent approach across all business areas.
About you
* Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Visual Basic Applications (VBA) programming and how these are used within solution design (essential).
* Maintain VBA coding with ability to correct macros and ribbons (preferred).
* Knowledge of Document management, retention policies and security.
* Experience of implementing process improvements in complex businesses (preferred).
* Good analytical skills & Strong PC and MS Office skills.
* Understanding of conflicting business priorities within a customer facing environment and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
* Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with peers and senior managers.
* Proactive, assertive and positive approach. Ability to respond quickly and think on your feet.
* Understands the needs of customers to ensure they are treated fairly and processes are focused on customer outcome in line with Consumer Duty.

Details
Visual Basic Applications (VBA) Support, maintenance and monitoring
* Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of existing Customer and Adviser Experience (CAEXP) VBA tools (circa 40 tools).
* Responsible for minor updates to existing VBA programmes as needed to support the business areas, running of existing CAEXP VBA and End User Computer (EUC) tools & for future proofing solutions by working with Business Transformation to engage in plans for long term system adoption.
Process improvements
* Work with managers to understand the process improvements required and priorities.
* Lead process reviews to provide recommendations that are supported with clear documentation summarising the benefit and considerations.
* Work with managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during process reviews to identify training/communication required and with Stakeholders to ensure risk management is embedded in improvement and recommendations.
* Promote good risk management practices and ensure all applicable LV Financial Services (LVFS) policies are followed.
* Drive forward delivery and implementation of the changes with continued engagement with SMEs and managers.
* Monitor regulatory and market developments and assess their impacts on potential benefits of a change.
* Ensure that effective relationships are established and maintained across CAEXP.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities across CAEXP processes.
* Work with all business areas to identify opportunity to implement consistent approach and benefits.
* Monitor and analyse operational activities and challenge the status quo to help improve efficiency and resolve issues.
* Design and test potential process changes and work with key stakeholders and those impacted to ensure successful implementation.
* Compile and report on process improvement activities.
