Kingdom Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered General Nurse (RGN) who has worked as an Accident and Emergency Nurse, to join our team of nurses at an NHS hospital in Runcorn.
As a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the Accident and Emergency A&E department, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, such as wards, clinics, and the community.
You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, healthcare assistants, and therapists, to deliver patient-centred care that meets their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Care:
Perform initial triage to assess and prioritize patients according to the severity of their conditions
Take detailed patient histories, carry out physical examinations, and provide immediate and ongoing care
Administer prescribed treatments and medications, monitor patient progress, and adjust care as necessary
Clinical Interventions:
Provide a range of clinical interventions, including cannulation, venepuncture, ECGs, wound care, and assist in minor procedures
Support in life-saving interventions such as CPR, defibrillation, and airway management
Monitoring and Documentation:
Continuously monitor patients' conditions, record vital signs, and document all care activities accurately
Update patient care plans and ensure effective communication across the team
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with doctors, consultants, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless patient care
Participate in handovers, ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients
Infection Control and Safety:
Adhere to infection control protocols, ensuring safe practices in patient care
Follow hospital health & safety policies and procedures at all times
Discharge Planning:
Assist with patient discharge planning, providing advice on aftercare and arranging necessary follow-up appointments or referrals
Legal and Ethical Practice:
Ensure nursing practice is in line with the NMC code of conduct and relevant legal frameworks
Obtain informed consent from patients for procedures and treatments, ensuring ethical and legal standards are met
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for the role of Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the Accident and Emergency department at our NHS hospital in Runcorn, UK, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
Valid in-date Nursing and Midwifery Council's membership: You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have an in-date membership
At least 6 months' experience working as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in Accident and Emergency ward in the UK
Valid UK visa that permits you to work as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the UK
Vaccinations: You must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tuberculosis, and COVID-19
Desirable but not mandatory - Car driver: A valid car driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
Valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate
DBS certificate registered on the DBS update service
