Job Description:
You will be involved in a range of activities including acting as a technical lead, client relationship manager, bid manager, and project manager. Responsibilities include:
1. Excel-based modelling, desktop research, and technical report writing.
2. Supporting local authorities in developing carbon baselines and decarbonisation plans.
3. Working with businesses to quantify the environmental impact of their products and reduce their carbon footprint.
4. Assisting governmental bodies to develop emissions reduction policies.
This role is client-facing and will encompass project management, team coordination, and client bid management. You will contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, applying creative and practical thinking to solve real-world problems.
Essential Criteria:
* At least two years of experience in GHG emissions analysis and/or developing decarbonisation plans.
* Good technical understanding of GHG emission footprinting and carbon accounting standards.
* Demonstrable experience of applying creative problem-solving skills.
* Proven organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong communication skills.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Willingness to undertake a range of tasks as required.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience within the consultancy business model.
* Knowledge of SBTi.
* Relevant degree or post-graduate qualification.
* Strong research and data analysis skills.
* Experience working with local authorities.
* Experience analysing scope 3 emissions.
* A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
