We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Team at the North Berwick Sport Centre.
Purpose of the Job
Under the instruction of the Service Manager, provide a front line reception service, ensuring a high standard of customer care and quality service to Centre users.
Welcome customers, taking bookings, responding to emails, reconciling cash and dealing with face to face and telephone enquiries in accordance with customer service standards.
To carry out clerical duties to support the operation of the centre and the Service Manager.
To actively promote the professional, friendly, welcoming and caring image of the centre when assisting members of the public.
To supervise the use of the centre, to maintain the standard of facilities and equipment as required by the Service Manager to meet requirements of Health and Safety.
To assist with the organisation of events and promotion of the centre.
To carry out cleaning duties in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness & hygiene at all times.
Any other appropriate duties, as requested by Management, commensurate with the grade for the post.
Requirements for this Role
Relevant Qualifications
Essential:
4 Standard grades (or equivalent) at level 3 or above including Maths and English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
Desirable:
SVQ Level II (Administration)
HNC Office/Business Administration
Skills/Experience Required
Essential:
Previous reception/clerical experience
Experience of working in a cash handling environment.
Effective user of Microsoft Office Suite e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Effective customer care skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Health & Safety awareness
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to use own initiative.
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
Desirable:
Customer Care training
Salary:
£22,069.00 (pro-rata)
Hours per week: Minimum 14
Working days vary between dayshifts, backshifts and weekends on a three week repeating rota, with additional overtime hours available.
