The Production Planner is responsible for determining actionable and efficient daily, weekly and monthly production schedules, taking into account available resources including material availability, labor, and equipment availability. This position reports to the Production and Materials Planning Manager and is part of the Operations Planning Department located in Cambridge and will be on site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Ensure planning schedule delivers against OTIF requirements to meet the needs of the customer, both external and internal. Create, monitor and adjust production schedule as needed based on changing conditions (delayed material deliveries, sick leaves, equipment breakdowns…)Collaborate with the Global Supply Planning team to report on plan execution and capacity issues. Drive resolution of issues such as shortages, spikes and production delays that may influence on-time delivery. Analyse system and data issues then execute fixes to stop repeat issues. Support where appropriate any site projects, identifying process inefficiencies and driving optimisation to deliver increased productivity. The essential requirements of the job include: Experience in a manufacturing supply chain planning environment, or experience working in a biological or pharmaceutical manufacturing with a solid understanding of planning issues. Experience using supply chain planning aspects of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Solid experience with Microsoft Office. Experience meeting tight deadlines, prioritising tasks and multi-tasking to achieve results. Ability to creatively solve challenging problems.
