Are you a passionate Design & Technology Teacher looking for a new challenge? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated educator to join a thriving secondary school in Basingstoke from March 2025.
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Contract Type: Full-time
Duration: Longer-term, transitioning to temp to perm
About the Role:
As a DT Teacher, you will inspire students across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Engineering. This role is ideal for experienced teachers, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
* Engaging Lessons – Plan and deliver high-quality, creative, and practical Design & Technology lessons.
* Curriculum Development – Contribute to an innovative and challenging DT curriculum.
* Student Progress – Monitor and support students’ academic and personal development.
* Extracurricular Activities – Support the school’s extra-curricular programs related to DT and STEM.
* Raising Attainment – Work towards improving student outcomes in Design & Technology.
* Professional Development – Engage in ongoing training and CPD opportunities.
* Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure all lessons follow appropriate health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential). ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Strong subject knowledge and passion for Design & Technology. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Safer Recruitment in Education check required.
