A large IT consultancy is seeking Agile Business Analysts on a contract basis. This role is primarily remote, with occasional client visits to Newcastle. These positions are six-month contracts, Outside IR35, offering up to £450 per day. Our client is particularly interested in candidates with experience in Government Digital Services (GDS), Agile methodology, and working within cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, define, and document business and user requirements. Map "as-is" and "to-be" processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and UX/UI Designers to shape user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria. Ensure compliance with GDS standards, including preparation for GDS service assessments. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. Translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa for effective communication across teams. Perform impact analysis for proposed changes and manage stakeholder expectations effectively. Support teams in iterative delivery, ensuring that user needs are at the heart of solutions. Conduct workshops, interviews, and user research to gather insights and validate requirements. Ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and KPIs through effective reporting and communication. Essential Skills and Experience: Strong experience as an Agile Business Analyst in digital transformation projects. Solid understanding of GDS principles and ability to deliver services compliant with GDS standards. Proven experience in facilitating GDS service assessments (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live). Exceptional stakeholder management skills across varying levels of seniority. Ability to define and prioritize backlogs and manage Agile artifacts effectively. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and wireframing tools. Experience with user research methodologies and integrating findings into development cycles. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Desirable Skills: Background in public sector projects or working with government organizations. Knowledge of Lean methodologies or other Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe). Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools. Certification in Agile (eg, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent).
