An influential, leading UK fire assessment company is now seeking a confident and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join them and support a variety of projects across the UK. Travel across the UK is required for this role.
The Fire Risk Assessor Qualifications:
* Level 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety Management
* Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management
* 3+ years experience
* Approved validator with the BAFE SP-1 scheme or willing to work towards achieving this
* A degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, Fire Risk Management, or a related discipline
* Tier 3 status with the IFSM or equivalent or working towards
The Fire Risk Assessor Role and Responsibilities:
* Deliver concise and high-quality fire risk assessments across various sectors, including Commercial, Healthcare, Retail, and complex buildings
* Must have experience outside of the residential sector and be a minimum of Tier 2 accredited
* Ability to write concise, technical reports
* Support the Fire Risk Services (FRS) section by handling initial enquiries, participating in pre-meetings, determining the scope of work, developing detailed project briefs, and preparing presentations for clients and stakeholders
* Perform validation, verification, and Quality Assurance (QA) of technical reports, addressing and resolving any related queries
* Collaborate with the publications department by reviewing draft publications and preparing technical articles for journals
* Assist trainers with their knowledge gaps to enhance overall content quality and accuracy
* Assist the Marketing departments in developing propositions and strategies for Fire Risk Services and Fire Advisory Services
* In-depth understanding of fire safety regulations, codes, and best practices, with experience in ensuring compliance in various environments
* High level of attention to detail in all aspects of work; ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in risk assessments and reports
