Job Overview
As Cafe Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the Cafe's current and future operations. This includes the sale of food and drinks, hiring and scheduling of staff, menu planning, and maintaining inventory. Additionally, the manager will coordinate with vendors, monitor budgets, and work to improve profit margins and customer satisfaction.
Main Duties
1. Responsible for the control of labour costs in line with budget.
2. Monitor budgets to ensure that the café remains profitable.
3. Proactively find ways to lower operational costs while expanding the café's customer base.
4. Monitor and maintain the integrity of all stock.
5. Ensure weekly stock takes are fully compliant and accurate.
6. Analyse sales data – SPT – Top Selling Items – Margins – Wastage – and actively make decisions based upon this data to ensure operational excellence.
7. Drive sales and introduce initiatives to increase SPT and margins.
8. Review product range and introduce sales promotions in line with the Special Occasions Calendar.
9. Work closely with customers to answer questions and listen to complaints regarding food quality and customer service before working to resolve those complaints promptly.
10. Proactive involvement in product and menu item suggestions.
What We Are Looking For
1. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and passionate people person, with great customer service skills.
2. You must have experience in managing a retail café operation with high volume. High-street brand experience preferable.
3. Able to work under pressure, lead, motivate, and manage a team.
4. Great attention to detail.
5. Support the marketing department to ensure all café menus and products are advertised.
6. You will ensure exceptional customer service, maintain high-quality standards, and create a positive and engaging work environment.
