GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Bournemouth. In this One-to-one TA role, you will provide tailored support to a student who requires additional assistance, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop their confidence in the classroom environment. Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (One-to-one TA): Provide individual support to a student, adapting learning materials to suit their needs. Assist with classwork and encourage participation in lessons. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support the student’s emotional and social development. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies for progress. Monitor the student’s progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff. Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning. Encourage independence while offering necessary guidance and support. Requirements for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA): Previous experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential). A degree in Education, psychology or a similar field. A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
