1:1 Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs Support
Location: Caerphilly / Newbridge area
Pay: From £88.92 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Availability: Full-time, part-time, and ad-hoc roles available

Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's life?
We're recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with complex additional learning needs in a caring and supportive school setting in the Caerphilly/Newbridge area.
This is a deeply rewarding role where you'll work closely with one pupil, helping them access learning, manage daily routines, and build confidence and independence.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent, dedicated 1:1 support for a student with complex needs throughout the school day.
* Support learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
* Assist with personal care, emotional regulation, and behavioural support where required.
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement and adapt the pupil's individual learning plan (ILP).
* Help maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment to promote progress and well-being.
* Track and report progress, celebrating small wins and milestones along the way.

What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with complex needs, such as ASD, global developmental delay, sensory processing difficulties, or medical conditions.
* A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach.
* Confidence in supporting behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
* An Enhanced DBS (on the update service), or willingness to obtain one.
* EWC registration as a learning support worker.
* Right to work in the UK.
