Hotel Services Monitoring and Training Supervisor

The post holder is part of the Catering and Performance team and is required to work closely with Hotel Services Operational to deliver in-house training.
Responsible for planning, organising and delivering appropriate training, to include induction training for new staff in line with Trust and Hotel Services Standards.
The post holder will be required to deliver training using different methods including face to face, virtual meetings (e.g., Microsoft Teams) and video recorded sessions. This will also include individual one-to-one and group sessions.
To carry out comprehensive monitoring of hotel services cleaning and catering services trust-wide including those services provided by the Trust in-house team, external contracted services and service level agreements.
Auditing must ensure standards are being met and maintained:
1. National Standards (e.g., National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness)
2. Contract Specifications
Audits to be carried out using the agreed electronic audit system which the post holder will support to manage and maintain.
Responsible for monitoring standards and taking corrective action as necessary.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Hotel Services Supervisor within the Trust's Hotel Services Team.
Participate and take responsibility, under the direction of Contracting and Performance officer, in any improvement events/projects within own area as appropriate.
Evaluate and update the induction training package as required and agree with Contracting & Performance Officer.
Produce and implement a plan of audits in line with Hotel Services Cleaning Procedure / National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
To have the ability to continually review and propose areas of quality improvement or change within the Hotel Services Team that will enhance the administration processes.
Carry out food waste audits and discuss action plans with Facilities Site Managers.
Assists the Contracting & Performance Officer with the performance management system for hotel services to include customer feedback and audit results quarterly reports for the Head of Hotel Services and the Estates and Facilities Management team.
Reporting data held on a number of different systems including audit software and in-house IT systems including spreadsheets.

Job responsibilities
Candidates must possess NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject, Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 with willingness to achieve level 3 and level 4 within an agreed timescale, Numeracy and Literacy to level 2.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Level 3 Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety
* NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject.
* Numeracy and Literacy to level 2.
* Level 4 Advanced Certificate in Food Safety or a willingness to work towards within 12 months
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training
* Certificate in Food Audit and Inspections
* Advanced ECDL / Level 3 Qualification
* Level 3 Certificate in HACCP
Experience
* Auditing experience in a food setting
* Training experience using different methods including face to face, virtual meetings (e.g., Microsoft Teams) and video recorded sessions
* Experience of Hotel Services including domestic and catering duties
Knowledge
* Good understanding of electronic data systems
* National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness
* Health & Safety and COSHH
* Knowledge of the role and function of Trust.
