Job Summary The Professional Counselor will provide individual and group mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and counseling-related services to university students with the goal of increasing student success. The Professional Counselor will provide and coordinate outreach services to the university community. Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution. Counseling experience in college mental health; knowledge of college student development; demonstrated ability to work with campus and community partners to coordinate programs and prevention services Licensed as a Professional Counselor/Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist or license eligible within one to two years Experience as a counselor in college/university counseling center or in a mental health agency Preferred Qualifications Preferred Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution Completion of graduate internship at a mental health agency Internship at a University/College Counseling Services or mental health agency
