We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting the commercial team with the management of costs and contracts throughout the lifecycle of our residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to grow their career in quantity surveying within the house-building sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for residential projects.
2. Support the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
3. Help monitor project costs and progress, ensuring projects remain within budget.
4. Assist in the valuation of completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors.
5. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
6. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
7. Assist in identifying potential risks and providing recommendations for cost control.
8. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Requirements:
9. A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
10. Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the house-building or construction sector.
11. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
14. A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
