Role purpose
The Global Head of Technical Quality & Governance ensures that our commercial operation deliver to clients consistently, aligned to external regulatory or delivery requirements. This is central to our ability to meet our clients’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for:
1. Leading the global TQ&G function to ensure strategic and commercial alignment to the business, whilst preserving accreditation and other regulatory requirements.
2. Monitoring performance against standards and procedures to draw out potential issues and making recommendations that will help the business to continually raise our standards.
3. Ensuring LRQA’s licence to operate is maintained by effective accreditation management with external bodies.
4. Lead the global TQ&G function to ensure that required standards are maintained and aligned to local and global strategic commercial needs.
5. Establish and promote/ coach a high-end quality culture across LRQA globally and share knowledge and industry best practice to build and maintain our brand and technical integrity.
6. Monitor performance against standards and procedures to draw out potential issues/ make recommendations to continually raise our global standards aligned to the appropriate codes and standards.
7. Take accountability as global escalation point for the management of technical risks, rd party complaints, certification disputes and accreditation / scheme non-conformities and highlight the importance of maintaining quality standards aligned to our brand and market position.
8. Represent LRQA business interests with external accreditation bodies and sector schemes to build and maintain a strong network and credibility across the industry.
9. Interpret regulatory rules to ensure that technical decisions strike a balance between meeting client and business needs, and adhering to accreditation requirements, making recommendations for input into local and global operational strategies.
10. Collaborate and communicate with functions across LRQA globally, to ensure consistency in the development and delivery of our global services and client experience.
11. Lead, manage and develop team members to build capacity and capability through recruitment, performance management, talent/succession planning, training and development to build and drive a performance driven culture. Encourage direct reports to do the same with their teams.
12. Act as a role model/ambassador for both the LRQA values and leadership behaviours.
13. Identify new industry trends and work cross-function to develop new products/ services
14. Support Service Delivery Teams with “User Friendly” tools to consistently deliver a quality service to both internal and external clients.
