We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Wealth Manager to join Taylor Money Wealth Management (TMWM). This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career, or an experienced paraplanner who is eager to progress as a wealth manager.
You will work closely with the client services and paraplanning teams in a collaborative and supportive environment that values teamwork. You will be trained and supported by our existing wealth managers and be provided with a group of existing TMWM clients to look after.
The role offers a fantastic pathway for professional development, with a focus on delivering bespoke wealth management advice and developing long-standing partnerships with high-net-worth individuals and families.
Daily tasks:
* Client relationship management: Advising on and managing clients’ portfolios and overall wealth planning, providing day-to-day support and ensuring excellent service levels. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
* Wealth planning & advice: Delivering tailored wealth planning advice, including investment planning, retirement planning, tax optimisation, and estate planning.
* Investment management: Making investment decisions on clients’ portfolios in line with our central investment proposition, ensuring that they are aligned with the client's financial goals and risk tolerance. Provide timely reports and updates to clients.
* Market and tax monitoring: Keep up-to-date with current market trends, economic news, and tax changes that may affect client investments and financial plans or present new opportunities.
* Client communication: Prepare and deliver clear and effective client communications, including wealth planning reviews, investment updates, and any changes in their planning.
* Regulatory compliance: Ensure all client interactions and recommendations are recorded and comply with the firm’s policies, UK financial regulations, and industry standards.
* Administration: Ensure client records are maintained accurately, and all necessary documentation is filed in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Skills and requirements for this role:
* Financial qualifications: The ideal candidate will have their Level 4 Diploma or be working towards completing this in the next 6 months.
* Investment knowledge: A strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and the wealth management industry.
* Knowledge of investment products and UK tax wrappers and rules: Understanding of investment strategies, asset classes, and financial markets. Knowledge of UK tax rules and FCA-regulated tax wrappers.
* Industry experience: Previous experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related field is essential.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients.
* Relationship building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and the TMWM team.
* Organisational skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
* Ambition: A desire to progress in a career within wealth management and a willingness to learn and grow.
* Adaptability: Open to new challenges and learning opportunities in a rapidly evolving industry.
* Interest in wealth management: A genuine passion for wealth management and financial planning, with a desire to build a long-term career in this field and help clients.
* Discretion and confidentiality: Working with private clients requires a high level of discretion to ensure that information and discussions remain confidential.

Details:
Hours: Full-time (9am – 5pm Mon-Thurs, 8am – 4pm Fri)
Salary: From £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + performance bonus and other benefits
