Role Description
We are currently looking for an External Sales representative at Valve & Process Solutions to cover Scotland. The role involves working alongside our current team member with a view to replace them when they retire. Day-to-day tasks include customer visits, communicating with clients, providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, conducting training, and managing sales operations. While the role is primarily based in Scotland, there will be a requirement to visit HQ in Chesterfield for training and meetings.
Responsibilities
* Selling: Present sales proposals, educate customers, and negotiate with customers.
* Building relationships: Maintain good relationships with customers and resolve complaints.
* Identifying opportunities: Find new leads, monitor competitors, and identify ways to improve sales.
* Researching: Conduct market and industry research.
* Collaborating: Work with the marketing department.
* Meeting targets: Set and work towards sales, turnover, and profit goals.
Skills
Strong negotiating and selling skills, excellent people skills, intuitive understanding of client needs, ability to give professional presentations, and target-driven.
Qualifications & Experience
* An engineering qualification would be an advantage.
* Experience in the process valve sector is a plus.
* Proven track record.
