With 20+ years experience in the industry, Vanquish Fire is able to bring excellent quality to its customers.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to employ a new apprentice. The successful individual will get the opportunity to grow and become a multi-disciplined engineer.
You will be training to be a Fire and Security Engineer, learning alongside experienced engineers to help you grow and succeed in the security sector. This role will be full time with block training release to Watford.
You should be committed to developing new skills and gaining knowledge of the wider fire and security industry.
Entry Requirements
Desired Skills/Qualities:
1. This position is ideally suited to someone at the very start of their career; applications are encouraged from those who just finished, or are about to finish, studying at sixth form.
2. If you cannot drive, then you must live locally (within 5 miles) to the office (MK45 postcode).
3. Willing to listen and learn.
4. Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
5. Must be prepared to travel to Watford Monday - Friday once every 8 weeks for apprenticeship block release training.
Training to be Provided
Skills for Security deliver the Level 3 apprenticeship via block release at their Watford training centre. You will complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies. Complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete.
Things to Consider
This vacancy is 30 hours per week. The apprenticeship is 36 months and therefore, full commitment is required throughout the duration of your studies. If you have below a level 4 in Maths or English at GCSE level, you must be willing to study functional skills level 2 alongside your apprenticeship - this is a mandatory requirement.
