At Root-Power, we believe Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are key to achieving a flexible, net-zero energy future. BESS unlocks the full potential of renewable sources by storing energy when production is high and redistributing it during peak demand or low renewable output. This ensures a stable, efficient, and clean electricity supply, leveraging green technology to its fullest. Root-Power was launched in July 2024 as an off-shoot from leading independent power generation specialist Ylem Energy. With over a quarter of a century’s experience in specialist independent generation systems, including being a pioneer of Landfill Gas to Energy (LFG) projects, Ylem has a strong track record in various power generation projects both in the UK and overseas.
