About the Role
The role involves working with families to offer practical help, building on strengths and community support to improve daily life and positively impacting outcomes for children and young people. Family Help is a new service that will provide intensive support for families from Targeted Early Help to Child in Need.
We aim to create a new integrated service called Family Help, where both Social Workers and Keyworkers will engage, support, and encourage families to make positive changes. The focus will be on building strong professional relationships and responding quickly and intensively to families in need.
We support staff through regular supervision and training to ensure a high-quality service is provided to families.

We have a Senior Social Work Oversight Practitioner, who will support the Team Manager in ensuring a high-quality service for children and their families.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
* A Degree in Social Work approved by Social Work England (SWE) or equivalent qualification.
* Experience as a level 3 social worker in a children's social work team.
* Experience in areas such as assess/duty/intake; children in need, child protection, care proceedings, safeguarding, and looked-after children work.
* Experience of undertaking Section 47 enquiries.
* Experience of chairing complex meetings and ensuring child voice is heard.
* Experience of using performance indicators to monitor and improve performance.
* Experience of multi-agency working and holding partners accountable.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
