Description ROLE SUMMARY NHS Lothian provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for the populations of Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian. They also provide some services for patients in the Borders and in Fife and are a national centre of expertise for some specialties provided to people across Scotland. As a non-executive member of the Board, you will be expected to play a central role in ensuring the efficient, effective and accountable governance of the organisation and play your part in supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategic direction. You will be offered the training you need to make a strong contribution. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES Public Appointees are responsible for: ensuring that the public body delivers its functions in accordance with Scottish Ministers’ policies and priorities providing strategic leadership ensuring financial stewardship holding the Chief Executive and senior management team to account Further information about the role and the board can be found in the information pack. Qualifications ROLE CRITERIA For one of these posts, we have identified a priority criterion: 1.
