We are seeking to appoint a confident and nurturing Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years Classroom at one of our welcoming schools based in Leeds, LS8.
The full-time role is available with immediate start for the right applicant and will provide effective learning support, guidance and PPA cover for all pupils across the EYFS to support the Class Teacher. Previous experience in a similar role and a strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework is advantageous. The role is expected to become permanent for the right candidate, the school may consider a later start date of January 2025.
The vibrant Primary School are looking for an experienced, energetic and talented HLTA with the ability to engage young children in learning and ensure a fun and creative environment for positive progression and excellent outcomes.
As the EYFS HLTA, duties will include:
- Being the perfect role model for children and teaching assistants in EYFS.
- Working within a key phase team to overcome barriers to learning and enable every child to make progress and 'learn, laugh and love' every day.
- Inspiring & empowering children of all abilities and ensuring they can take an active part in every aspect of the curriculum.
- Building effective relationships with colleagues, children and families.
- Implementing interventions, gathering information and contributing towards planning and assessments.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role, salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Suitable candidates should hold a minimum of Level 3 in Teaching and Learning Support or equivalent.
We are seeking candidates with:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
- Previous experience delivering lessons in the Teachers absence is desirable
- A sound knowledge of the EYFS Framework and expectations for learning
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
