Role Overview:
As the Senior Relationship Manager, you will lead and expand strategic relationships with high-value clients, venues, and business partners. You will take a hands-on approach in developing business opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring our service delivery meets the highest standards. Your ability to mentor junior team members, develop business strategies, and foster long-term client partnerships will be central to your success in this role. You will also take ownership of large, complex client projects while working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
* Lead the identification and pursuit of high-value business opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio and market presence.
* Drive the growth of strategic partnerships and long-term client relationships by exploring new markets, industries, and verticals.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy, ensuring alignment with 21CC Group’s long-term growth objectives.
* Mentor and guide junior team members in business development efforts and lead by example.
Client Relationship Management:
* Build and maintain trusted, high-level relationships with key clients, ensuring their strategic needs are met and expectations are consistently exceeded.
* Act as the primary liaison for top-tier clients, managing complex queries, concerns, and contractual negotiations.
* Oversee key account management, ensuring clients receive consistent value, and actively engage with them to secure long-term partnerships.
* Develop strategies for client retention and growth, identifying opportunities for expanding services and increasing revenue.
Venue Relationship Management:
* Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key venue partners, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring smooth logistics for events.
* Identify and act on new venue partnerships that align with company goals and client needs.
* Lead venue negotiations for large-scale events, ensuring optimal contracts and terms for both 21CC Group and our clients.
Proposal Writing & Quotation Preparation:
* Take the lead in creating highly customized, compelling proposals and quotations that align with client needs, company capabilities, and budgets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proposals are feasible, creative, and strategically aligned with the client’s objectives.
* Ensure the proposal and quoting process reflects the company’s brand and value proposition effectively.
Client Entertainment & Networking:
* Engage in regular client entertainment to foster strong relationships, including attending events, hosting meetings, and arranging special activities.
* Network at industry events, conferences, and expos to build relationships and stay informed on industry trends.
* Represent 21CC Group at key events, establishing the company as a leader in the events, technical production, fireworks, laser and AV industry.
Leadership & Mentoring:
* Lead, inspire, and mentor junior Relationship Managers and other team members, fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging collaboration.
* Share industry knowledge, best practices, and strategic insights to help grow the team’s skill set and contribute to overall company success.
Client Services Growth:
* Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts through upselling and cross-selling additional services.
* Work closely with the operations team to ensure exceptional service delivery, providing clients with the highest levels of support throughout the event lifecycle.
* Manage post-event client feedback and ensure follow-up actions are taken to drive continuous improvement.
Exhibitions and Wedding Shows:
* Take a leadership role in promoting 21CC Group’s services at industry exhibitions, wedding shows, and other relevant events.
* Spearhead marketing and outreach efforts to generate new business opportunities and strengthen brand awareness at these events.
Creation of Marketing Assets:
* Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the creation of impactful marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and case studies, to showcase our offerings to senior clients.
* Ensure that all marketing materials align with 21CC Group’s brand identity and reflect our leadership in the industry.
Your Expertise:
* Proven experience (ideally 8+ years) in a senior business development or relationship management role, with significant experience in the events, AV, and/or technical production industries.
* Expertise in managing and growing high-profile client accounts and key partnerships.
* Strong negotiation and strategic communication skills, with the ability to manage complex deals and build lasting relationships at the senior level.
* Deep understanding of event production processes, from conceptualization to execution.
* Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other tools for managing client relationships and business development.
* A full UK driving license is essential.

* This is a permanent, full-time position working primarily in 21CC Group with support across our other associated companies.
* Flexible working hours with core hours from 10 am – 4 pm each working day.
