Techniche Global are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer to appoint an Infotainment Validation Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team with the validation of infotainment electrical systems, navigation, and audio systems on bench and in vehicle for functional, performance and reliability to Nissan design/test standards/specifications and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct interoperability testing of connected systems.
3. Create test plans to meet project and design milestones.
4. Develop testing procedures and scenarios.
5. Confirm vehicle specifications and test parts required for testing, including arrangement of vehicle transportation when required.
6. Manage concern severity categorization and reporting.
7. Formal reporting of test results to design sections and upper management.
8. Support root cause investigation and data logging.
9. Provide technical support and software management for manufacturing and test fleet.
10. Occasionally support market investigation.
11. Manage suppliers and guest engineers.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
1. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
2. Relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or demonstrate equivalent experience.
3. Knowledge of software programming and software quality assurance.
4. Experience of software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment – flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration.
5. Experience of risk assessing software modifications and developing appropriate test plans.
6. Experience of validating multiple software versions simultaneously and adapting prioritizing validation activities.
7. Understanding of network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
8. Ability to operate CANalyzer, CANoe, MATLAB software or similar for capturing data, analysis of data, and preparing/executing test procedures.
9. Experience with network analyzers and communication simulation.
10. Familiarity with offboard telematics systems including servers, network providers, and commercial software applications.
11. Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections.
12. Practical experience in problem-solving tools and techniques e.g., Kepner-Tregoe / Six Sigma.
13. Conversant with digital oscilloscopes and basic electrical test equipment.
