Job Description
Award-Winning London IP/Trade Mark Team Seeks Talented Lawyer Assisting with trade mark, design and copyright cases, as well other IP-related disputes, including:
* pre-action advisory work
* infringement and cancellation proceedings before IPEC, High Court and Patents Court (designs)
* oppositions and cancellation proceedings at the UKIPO
* alternative dispute resolution procedures (e.g. mediation)
* co-ordinating foreign proceedings and liaising with overseas counsel
* anti-counterfeiting work including Customs/Trading Standards actions, online take downs
* domain name disputes (e.g. Nominet and UDRP)
* Company Names Tribunal cases
* Negotiating and drafting settlement and co-existence agreements
* Assisting with licence and assignment agreements
* Participate in business development
Person Specification:
Qualifications
* Degree level education and Graduate Diploma in Law (if applicable)
* Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC)
* Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice, University of Oxford (desirable)
