Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across site at Dewsbury and Pinderfields discharge lounges. This role will be 23 hours. The lounges both currently run 0800-2000, Monday to Friday however this is subject to change during times of pressure. The discharge lounge can be extremely fast paced and a keen interest in discharge would be expected. Training can be given on commencement of the post and we are currently developing a competency framework in regard to discharge. You will be expected to take patients from all areas of the trust, they may be seated or bedded patients who are going home that day. This would be an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse. The trust can provide an initial supernumery period and structured mentoring. There be will lots of opportunity for career progression and development. As a band 5 you will gain essential experience in patient care and knowledge of medical conditions, and understanding the importance of safe discharges.
