Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Officer to join our diverse Property Management team. The post holder will oversee a geographical area of the Sottish Borders, working alongside our other Property Officers and technical staff. You will be an excellent communicator, a team player, be able to respond to tight deadlines and work on your own initiative.
This full time post will operate under a hybrid working arrangement, between Council HQ and home, along with mobile working.
Essential
An HNC (Construction Related) OR equivalent professional qualifications OR demonstrable experience in construction.
P402 Certificate in Building Surveys and bulk sampling for asbestos. If you do not hold the P402 Certificate in Building Surveys and bulk sampling for asbestos you will be required to gain this within 6 months of taking up the post.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
