We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Ad-Hoc Teaching Assistants to join our team and provide support across a variety of schools in Surrey. Whether you have experience in primary, secondary, or special educational needs (SEN)/social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) support, we have opportunities for you!
Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students’ learning in the classroom
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for students who require extra help
* Support children with SEN/SEMH needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop essential life skills
* Encourage a positive learning environment, fostering inclusion and respect
* Help manage classroom behavior and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
* Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support teachers
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting (primary, secondary, or SEN)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young people
* A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
* A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (or willingness to apply for one)
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* SEN/SEMH experience is a plus, but not required
