A highly respected consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role involves managing costs and contracts on a variety of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and reports for projects.
2. Conduct tender analysis and manage procurement processes.
3. Oversee contract administration, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
4. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
5. Provide financial insight and advice to support decision-making processes.
6. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
2. MRICS qualification or working towards chartership is desirable.
3. Proven experience in managing costs across a range of projects, preferably in residential or commercial sectors.
4. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Proficient in cost management software and tools.
