Seafield Veterinary Group in Keith is looking for a Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. We would also be interested in speaking to applicants interested in small or large animal only roles. The caseload is approx. 40% Farm animal, 5% equine and 55% small animal, offering the opportunity to build up experience in all disciplines whilst working with more senior vets in each area.
You will be involved in all aspects of mixed practice initially involving routine small animal consults, all basic surgery, farm and equine first opinion calls with opportunity to develop skills in any area of interest such as fertility, diagnostic imaging, herd health planning and lameness.
Fix or Flex - find your perfect balance
We offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life. We can offer flexibility that actually works for you.
Our full-time vets work 40 hours over the choice of 4 or 5 days; however, we are open to applicants looking for part-time/flexible hours. You will be included in the large animal out of hours rota which is currently at 1:5 and we are looking to grow this further, support can be provided out of hours initially if required.
About the team
Seafield Veterinary Group is more than just a workplace; it's a dynamic family of 15 vets, including approximately 10 FTE vets. The Large Animal team comprises about 4 FTE vets, with extra hands needed during the bustling Spring and Autumn seasons.
Seafield Vet Group is based across 3 sites (Keith, Banff and Buckie) each with good facilities including a full IDEXX lab suite, new and updated ultrasound allowing you to work up cases to a high level internally. We deal with large animal work to a high standard with a proactive approach, fertility work and a strong base of pedigree and commercial stock, predominantly beef and sheep with the occasional goat! We also have a strong small animal client base with minimal exotics.
The practice is a very short distance from the stunning Moray Coast, an hour from the Cairngorms National Park and Aviemore for those hill walking and snow sports enthusiasts.
