This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and customer centric organisation as a Materials Controller, the role will involve supporting the Operation Teams who are delivering a high-quality service to customers. Duties & Responsibilities
1. Liaising with the materials partner to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of materials delivered on site and to operatives.
2. Ensuring all van stock is replenished in a suitable time frame.
3. Monitoring and tracking van stock movement on a regular basis, to identify areas of maximum and minimal usage.
4. Reporting and analysing material costs and spend across all services. Identifying any discrepancies and working with materials partner to rectify.
5. Monitoring materials are allocated to correct jobs and identifying discrepancies on material codes. Co-ordination with operatives and operation team:
6. Managing the stores on site, overseeing the process and in line with H&S requirements.
7. Overseeing the deliveries from suppliers to the stores.
8. Assisting operatives with material enquiries.
9. Supporting operatives with using IT equipment and software for ordering materials and stock replenishment.
10. Assisting with stock takes and van audits.
11. Assisting the team with ordering and purchasing of non-standard items.
12. Working with the operational teams to achieve repairs time targets and keep work in progress (WIP) to a minimum.
