Children's Special Needs Care Manager (OFTED experience required)
Location: Burton area
Salary: £40000 - £50,000 (Experience and Qualifications Dependent)
Hours: 37 hours a week (Mixture of shifts)
Start Date: ASAP, flexible (happy to wait for notice period)
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the smooth running of the children’s home ensuring that you implement the OFSTED framework across the site.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each child.
* Ensure the safety, well-being, and positive development of each child under your care.
* Manage staff rotas efficiently to maintain comprehensive coverage around the clock.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, considering the distinctive challenges presented by special needs.
* Foster an atmosphere that is not only positive but conducive to the specific needs of the children.
* Offer guidance and mentorship to support staff, promoting a cohesive and supportive team environment.
* Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide holistic care and support.
* Promote a positive working environment.
Requirements:
* Must have at least 2 years experience within the last 5 years as a care manager.
* Must have a very strong understanding of OFSTED.
* Must have experience working to KPI’S.
* Must have a level 5 in leadership and management or equivalent.
* Must have excellent safeguarding knowledge.
* Must have worked with children.
* Must have experience in training new staff and helping to progress junior staff.
* Past experience as being an OFSTED registered manager a bonus but not essential.
* Proven experience in special needs care, ideally in a leadership or managerial role.
* Strong leadership skills tailored to the unique challenges of special needs care.
* In-depth understanding of the special needs sector with a commitment to high-quality care.
* Must be available to work a mixture of shifts as the business requires.
* Flexibility to manage shifts and team rotas, adapting to the demands of the role.
* Previous experience in caring for children with special needs is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* A sincere passion for making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of children with special needs.
