Your role will involve:
Placing homeless households into the Council’s Temporary Accommodation
Working with rough sleepers who have been placed in Temporary Accommodation enabling them to become tenancy ready to move on into long term housing solutions
Working collaboratively with partner agencies to address any specific needs of the household and to connect residents with essential services
Addressing breaches of licence conditions and taking appropriate action where necessary.
Assisting residents in maintaining their licences and supporting them to complete tasks identified in their Personal Housing Plans
Undertaking general tenancy support work with households in Temporary Accommodation and those who are at risk of homelessness
What are we looking for in successful candidates?
Experience of providing housing related support, leading to positive outcomes.
Experience of managing casework
Working knowledge of welfare benefits and income maximisation
Excellent communication skills.
Effective organisation and prioritisation skills.
Effective conflict management skills.
The ability to provide a high level of customer care.
Due to the nature of the role, you must also have access to a vehicle to enable you to travel around the district.
