As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and support of PLC and SCADA systems. You'll be working on both new and existing projects, helping to deliver high-quality automation solutions from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop PLC-based control systems (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Studio 5000).
2. Configure and commission SCADA and HMI systems.
3. Work on-site and remotely to commission systems and support client operations.
4. Liaise with project teams, clients, and third parties to ensure project success.
5. Produce technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and functional design specs.
6. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Requirements:
1. Strong hands-on experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs. Proficient in programming using TIA Portal, S7, and Rockwell Studio 5000.
2. Knowledge of SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., WinCC, FactoryTalk View).
3. Electrical/control systems background with relevant qualifications (HNC/Degree).
4. Able to read and create electrical schematics using CAD tools.
5. Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience in automated manufacturing, food & beverage, or water/utilities sectors.
2. Understanding of industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
3. Familiarity with safety PLCs and functional safety standards.
