Job summary We are inviting applicants to apply for the Glaucoma Clinical Fellow post in Ophthalmology at Ipswich Hospital. The successful applicant will be expected to participate actively in the diagnosis, management and follow-up of patients under supervision and on his/her own. This is a full-time clinical fellowship post for a fixed term period of 12 months with possibility to extend for a further 12 months. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will work under two consultants appointed to the hospital. Currently a comprehensive service is offered including all glaucoma surgeries (Trabeculectomy. Baerveldt and Ahmed implants, Istent, presiflow and other micro incision devises) Laser treatments (YAG, SLT and cyclodiode). Both consultants are responsible for the training and development of a clinical fellow as well as any trainee doctors assigned to glaucoma rotations.
